Attempting the neighborhood ceviche is one of the delights of each and every excursion to Lima. A cool, delicious dinner ideal for a hot day, ceviche is made with new fish marinated in lime squeeze and joined with onions, cilantro, and aji peppers. Make a point to test it at one of the few cevicherias in Lima, where it's presented with firm corn and yams as an afterthought.
Lomo saltado, a substantial stir-fry consisting of beef, onions, tomatoes, and French fries, is another delectable meal in Lima. Both residents and tourists love this flavorful meal, which will fill even the most ravenous stomach.

Welcome to the wonderful floating islands of the Uros people, located in Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Prepare to be astounded by the resourcefulness and resiliency of the surrounding populations as we set off on our expedition to discover these extraordinary islands.
For millennia, the Uros people have inhabited Lake Titicaca, constructing their dwellings and communities from the plentiful totora reeds that grow in the lake's shallow waters. The Uros people live in a stable and sustainable environment because new layers of reeds are continually added to these reed islands.
The people will welcome us with smiles and genuine hospitality when we set foot on the floating islands. We will be able to discover more about their customs and practices, such as fishing, hunting, and weaving. Make sure to give weaving a totora reed boat a go or create a traditional handcraft to bring back as a souvenir.
Throughout our stay, we will also get to explore Lake Titicaca's surrounding waterways, which are brimming with various animals. Look for huge frogs, Andean coots, and perhaps the rare Titicaca water frog inhabiting this area solely.
